Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has deployed Nokia’s technology to expand the capacity of recently installed 100G transport network to 200G optical network for both domestic and international traffic. This capacity expansion has been carried out in the major cities of Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi to keep pace with the growing demands of capacity created by ever-increasing consumption of broadband by individuals as well as enterprises.

As part of its extensive Corporate Social Responsibility actions and acknowledging the social contribution of the Daw Khin Kyi Foundation, Ooredoo Myanmar donated two fully equipped Emergency Rapid Response Vehicle units to the foundation on January 13, 2020. The handover ceremony was held at Daw Khin Kyi Foundation at University Avenue Road, Yangon and on behalf of Ooredoo Myanmar, Tint Naing Htut, Head of Corporate Communications handed over the ambulance vehicles to representatives from Daw Khin Kyi Foundation.

Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, one of the major mobile service providers in Malaysia, recently collaborated with Malaysia Airports and Panorama Langkawi to showcase the country’s first ever real-time virtual tourism experience, powered by Digi 5G technology. The venue for the demonstration was organised at Langkawi International Airport (LGK).

Inmarsat, the world leader in global, mobile satellite communications has received formal confirmation from its launch partner, Arianespace, that the company’s GX5 satellite will be launched from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana on Friday 22 November 2019. The launch window is between 21:08 and 22:43 UK time / UTC.
