ZTE has begun the sale of 5G-enabled smartphones ahead of its launch of 5G networks this year, making it the first telecommunications product manufacturer to make its 5G mobile accessible to the national market, according to the company’s official WeChat account.

The smartphones can be purchased at 4,999 yuan ($720) on online platforms like Tmall, Suning and JD.com, among others.

The new 5G smartphones feature an extensive range of new traits such as 4000mAh capacity battery with wireless charging support, high-speed download, 5G+4G dual SIM standby, a triple rear camera set and a 6.47-inch AMOLED screen, just to name a few.

Additionally, it also bolsters 5G frequencies from China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom.

As of now, only seven 5G smartphones have secured the China Compulsory Certificate including models from Huawei, Oneplus, Vivo and ZTE.
